We featured Bangkok based artist Agent Cortez aka Robin Wessberg in our Readers Corner section of the blog back in November last year (read it HERE). Readers Corner is something that we take great pleasure in doing because it enables us to interact with our readers and find out more about them whilst enjoying their artwork. As a thank you, Agent Cortez made us this painting even though it should really be us thanking him for taking part! Anyway, we love it and wanted to share its magnificence with you guys. We know that SOB readers are the best darn internet junkies in the whole entire world!
Here's some detailed shots of the heavily toothed skull and Deaths-head Hawkmoth's that make up the piece. It has travelled half way around the world but now sits handsomely on the wall here at SOB HQ. The subject matter is perfectly in-keeping with the rest of our morbid art collection. This is an unbelievable act of kindness that will never be forgotten, thank you Agent Cortez and keep up the great work!
Humm...looks like I know what I'm guna be picking up at ToyCon this year! This is 'Skelevex', Alto and DMS's new collaboration piece. No news on price yet but we will be sure to keep you posted!
Alto writes: Picking up on the signature faceted aesthetic of Evil Origami, the angular skull will be making its full debut at April's ToyCon UK.'
Nice to hear that artists vibe the unique interview skills of Nardwuar. Brother Ali has gone as far as to write a song about him, here's what he had to say on the matter:
"I've had the pleasure of being interviewed and featured in some of the most incredible publications but the most entertaining and interesting interviews Ive ever had was with the one and only Nardwuar. During our interview he gave me The original program to a Muhammad Ali exhibition fight in Vancouver and several records. First thing I did when I got home from the tour was listen through the records and make a beat from one of them. I ended up recording this song.
Doot doola doot doot!"
Nice new 4" Mini Munny custom by Jon Paul Kaiser. This piece was commissioned by an actual sushi chef who fed JPK at his restaurant in Nottingham (UK) as a way of saying thank you to the toy master.
Kaiser took the finished piece to him in-person, "as he's pretty local and whist I was there I was treated to quite possibly the finest dining experience I've ever had!" stated JPK.

Limited edition (of 100) screen print
Hand signed and numbered
18 x 24
"I made 100 of these to hang up in my room but my walls are already covered in Bare Naked Ladies posters so I decided to sign and sell them......Chickitty china the Chinese chicken!"
I can not believe my eyes with this one! Stone mason Jean-Louis Boistel was somehow allowed to embellish the (15th Century) Chapelle de Bethléem (Bethlehem Chapel) in Nantes, France with pop culture icons. Many of the Chapel's original drawings were lost so when restoring it in 1993-1995, architect Gwénolé Congard asked Boistel to use the traditional symbology found in chimeras and apply them to creatures from modern day fantasy/sci fi. So if the Chimera originally had a symbol of, 'bad monster in man', the modern equivalent is a Gremlin. More pics after the jump including Gizmo!

'The primary schoolboy "Kuchao" is hated person in his class.Even if everyone fly balloons, only he doesn't part with his it.after school,He springs out of the school in at full speed with a balloon. When he immediately begins to chew a bubble gum which he hid,he enter the imagination world. When his balloon becomes the face and begins to chew a bubble gum,it changes into various things. His imagination makes rapid progress more and his balloon increase steadily. Then, the bird approaches while flying, and...'
Week #12 - Al Green - Love and Hapiness
Al Green is one cool dude, just check out the live version of this tune from Soul Train. I first heard it when watching Menace II Society, but was mega disappointed when it wasn't on the soundtrack; thankfully wasn't too long before picking it up elsewhere though. Plenty of samples after the jump.
The funny thing about these undead bears (loads more pics after the jump) is that they are completely sold out! I mean this in the best possible way because, obviously... they rock. I just can't imagine where you'd put one!? In the bed between you and your partner? Wouldn't go down well with my better half. Anyway, look out on Phillip Blackman's blog for a new drop or send him your own childhood Teddy and he will break his face for you....and charge you for it...HERE.
Phillip writes: 'This Valentine UndeadTed has torn his own heart out and wants you to have it. How sweet.'
